The color was a bit darker which I actually liked and didn't look at all "denim" to me which I was also pleasantly surprised by. The zipper however was completely defective. It wouldn't zip up or down (once I got it part way up) and broke the first wear. Because I love the pants overall and the zipper is just faulty I decided to just get the zipper replaced by my tailor with a stronger, more athletic type of zipper.
