I got lots of compliments on this. I would say the sizing is off. I went with a small and I’m glad I did; the medium would have been too big. For reference I am 8 months pregnant, 5’7, 36-38D and 164 lbs.So cute!The good news...the shirt is adorable and the material is super soft! I love it! The fit was true to size as well. The bad news...the ruching is really ridiculous. It is literally ruched up to the arm pits which is way too much and makes the side seam come up about 3 inches higher than the bottom of the shirt, which meant I kept feeling like I had to pull the shirt down and my sides kept showing even though the center hem is plenty long enough. Luckily I know my way around a sewing machine. I turned it inside out, cut the ruching out, sewed it up, then did a super easy 4” ruch up from the bottom. It’s perfect now and was worth the effort.I'm 8 months pregnant so what else am I going to be for Halloween but a pumpkin? This is very cute. I'm a size L so that's what I purchased. It fits a little too snug but I'll be done with it quickly. The arms are a tight squeeze though, and my arms are pretty average with no extra skin or fat. If you're plus-sized or have muscular arms, I wouldn't risk this purchase. The material is soft but very thin. Overall a cute Halloween maternity top.A great idea! I really wanted it to work. The photo here is nothing like the real thing. If like the photo, it'd be awesome. Instead, the shirt is not remotely snug or fitted or flattering. I'm not entirely sure who it's made for--someone very short and very wide with no curves. Not trying to be mean here, just honest. I myself am a stick with a belly bump--annoucing at 14 weeks, so not a huge belly yet--so this thing was a bit ridiculous even when getting a smaller size (which ends up being a little short and placing the graphic too high).Still, I kept it because I didn't have time to make one myself or buy another before we'd be 'announcing' my pregnancy with a cute photo...so I made this work. For a photo, you can pull it tight in the back so it'll wrap around and show off the belly some more.Lastly, the paint is so thick and covers such a large area that it wrinkles the fabric around it--because the fabric shrinks and the paint doesn't. Also, it'll stick to itself in the drier. It feels funny on my baby belly skin due to the thick wrinkliness of the printed image.If the printer changed their base maternity shirt to one of much higher quality and betting sizing/shape, then this could be awesome and worth the price. As it is, I'd recommend instead that interested customers get a nice black maternity shirt from a real maternity store (or a comfy one on consignment) and some fabric paint...This product is ruched on the sides for no reason. It does not hug to your body at all, it fits as a flow-y type shirt. I’m 26 weeks & usually get mediums in maternity shirts so I went with a large from reading the other reviews. I’m scared how a medium would fit because even though the large is big, the fabric is not stretchy at all. Just a very very weird fit & I definitely have to find a way to tie it in the back to make it look flattering.Why, oh why, would someone make a shirt for a pregnant woman to wear if the shirt is NOT maternity fit?? I took another reviewer's suggestion and bought a size Large to fit the 8 month belly size. The baby skeleton is up higher than the actual fetus-in-womb's location, but being up higher made it more noticeable at a glance. Got worn for several weeks before Halloween and the design held up to gentle washing with air drying.This shirt did the trick for Halloween time fun. I am 6 months pregnant and wear a size small to medium in most brands.Overall pleased with the shirt, but if I were expecting to wear it more than a few times I would be disappointed wih the construction.Pros: The material is soft and washed well. Comfortable to wear overall. The graphic sat right on my belly where it should be.Cons:Super smelly out of the package (washing once seemed to take care of it. )After washing the shirt seems a little skewed, like it was cut slightly on the bias rather than straight.The fit is a little strange. Not very long for a maternity shirt, more wide than expected. The ruching on the side is ok, but seemed like it was put in as an afterthought.I’m generally a medium but decided to size up. Not the best idea - don’t size up. Washing made the arm length shrink, but it was still too big around. Don’t expect to wear it long term but it’s definitely cute for a wear or two. Only docked one star as I should have returned for a smaller size - although then arms would have been even shorter!So cute for halloweenSo cute!LovedGirlfriend was happy.
