Size small fits me well at 5'3", ~145-150 lbs, 37" bust, 7-8.5 months pregnant. It has become my go-to dress. I think it will work well post-partum too. If you have a larger chest, this may not fit as well. I notice that the seam where the bust meets the skirt hits just a bit higher than I would have designed it. The tie helps disguise this. Not bad for me, but might give others trouble. The fabric is stretchy and lightweight, which is great since I get hot so easily. The fabric is pretty opaque, but also shows through easily, as in shows panty lines/bra lines. Would recommend a slip to help smooth out bumps.
